New regional handball academy opens in Batumi
The federation's development programme expands to the Black Sea coast with a purpose-built facility for players aged 8–16.
The Handball Federation of Georgia has opened a new regional academy in Batumi, the third such facility in its nationwide development programme.
The centre will serve players aged 8–16 across the Adjara region and includes two indoor courts, a strength-and-conditioning suite and dedicated coaching staff.
“Talent exists everywhere in Georgia — our job is to give it somewhere to grow,” said the federation's development director.
